The pattern we use for this class is a wonderful classic.  Although the original pattern includes all sizes using either 2 needles (knitted flat and seamed) or using 4 needles in the round (no seams), we will be doing the latter.  You will also learn to hold stitches (for thumb) while continuing to build the mitten and pick up and knit the thumb afterwards.  These mittens will become a favorite as gifts.  Also, this skill can be a wonderful way to give back to our community in making mittens for many of our school age children.
